Pricing

Fivetran has a usage-based pricing model that charges customers on the number of rows updated - Monthly Active rows (MAR). Fivetran uses data modeling methods that tend to maximize the number of MAR when data is changed and subsequently synced - inflating costs unexpectedly in comparison to alternative data pipeline solutions. There is often a gap between data volume figures recorded in a user’s prior data pipeline solution and the figures displayed within Fivetran’s usage tracker.  

Fivetran users often have to perform a higher number of denormalization activities within the data warehouse to format data for reporting and BI. These not only increase data warehouse costs but also make it resource intensive to maintain the data ongoing. 

Adverity offers data volume packages based on new unique data rows that are counted once per month. Adverity’s modeling minimizes the number of unique data rows that customers use when data is updated as we do not hyper-normalize data. These rows are also consistent across data sources and destinations and deleted rows are not counted in a customer’s data usage. This makes Adverity a more reliably cost-efficient solution.
